The Nasher and a Little Helping Out

Jeremiah and I took Edie to the Dallas Museum of Art (on my new membership!) and the Nasher Sculpture Garden on Sunday. I am going to make it a point to take Edie and William when he's older to the as many museums as possible. Museum visits have always been a priority to my family and I plan on continuing the tradition.  It has been really busy around here so I haven't taken as many pictures of William as I would like.  I need to step up my game.

Things to come.....  I am going to start taking Edie to Sunday school.  My Dad and I will start taking her this Sunday.  I want her to get to play with other kids and it's free.  I may stay in the room with her this Sunday to observe and help her get used to the idea after that my Dad and I will attend the service while she plays.  I can't wait!

Edie experiences her first french fry, and likes it.

William's second sponge bath.  Now I'm bathing him in the baby tub since the cord finally fell off.

Sweet William resting up.

Silly Buddy joined us at the museums.

William likes to stare at the circles in his crib.

Last night Edie helped out by patting Williams head and saying "shhh, shhh, shhh" over and over to William.  She also covered him with several blankets.

Today

William's First Three Days

Steve smuggled in four or five bottles of champagne into the hospital room.  Brilliant.

Jeremiah entertained Edie for quite some time while I was pushing William out into the world.

Sweet William.

Dad and William.

Edie says, "Dad, what's that?"

Edie was on quite a high with the audience at the hospital.  I think she thought everyone was there to see her.

Thanks Amy!!!!

Going home.

William Henry is Here!

I'll keep it short for now.  William came last Wednesday without an induction.  I had contractions all morning and made it to 8 cm with little pain, got the epidural, and had William after only 4 or 5 pushes.  He's healthy, beautiful, and so good.  Edie is somewhat interested in him.  When she can pull herself away from various projects to come see him she will gently pet him.  It's so cute.

I'd like to give a shout out to my mom for weeks of help that include caring for our annoying dogs, watching Edie for about a week, and helping me constantly since William's birth.  You are an amazing support.
