A Wonderful Weekend... Now I'm Caught Up!

By the end of the work week I feel like I haven't spent any time with Edith a lot. I feel like she will grow up not knowing who I am. So I spent this entire weekend holding her, looking at her, holding her gaze when possible, smiling and talking with her, feeding her, bathing her, and just being in her angelic presence. Mom and I spent two wonderful days together. We went to the grand opening of our new neighborhood public library and the Junius Heights home tour. The tickets came courtesy of Chris since ABE sponsored a house. Edie was a hit at every house. She was soooooooooo good. We had to take out in and out of the car seat at each house. She was totally cool with everything. We toured about 7 houses, went to a children's store, and Central Market. She was a perfect angel the entire time.

New hair.

Close up on cuteness.

Asleep on Grandma's shoulder.

Fall leaves are blanketing our neighborhood.

A fall view from the front porch.

Edie hanging out during a pumping.

Edie loves her mobile. She gets super excited when you crank it up.

She knows the sound the crank makes so she starts looking up and kicking before the music even starts playing.

A smile for the mobile.

She's getting pretty chubby.

Looking up at Dad.

On an evening walk with the paps. Their first time on a walk in a month.
Oh the pets. They are all feeling neglected which only makes them do things that are more annoying. Abby wants in and out constantly. You let her out and she wants back in about 2 minutes later. She then runs to the front door and meows to get out of that door. She has also found a way into the mattress pad. I assume something had to be destroyed to allow her entrance. She sleeps in there which freaks Milo out so he barks at her and cries from under the bed throughout the night. Milo, Louie, and Abby come and go all night. Jumping in the bed, walking on top of us, pushing us out of our resting spots so we wake up falling out off the bed while they sleep comfortably in the middle. There was some possum chasing the middle of the night both Saturday and Sunday. I had to use the water hose to get Milo out from under the deck where he had corned a possum (at 3:00 am). Needless to say we aren't really that in love with our animals anymore. The only one that doesn't annoy us is sweet Turner. She isn't so damn needy like the other three.

Fall sunset in our neighborhood.

On the porch of the ABE sponsored house on the home tour. Edie slept through this house.

At the library opening.

In the children's section.

Why does everything seem right with the world when you are in a public library?

New portacrib.
